![]() For most scales, 5 frets are enough but some scales in certain positions require a 6th fret. The PDF file is 5 chords across with 6 rows for a total of 30 chord blocks and each chord block has 5 frets. These are my go-to music sheets for all of my guitar chords. To recap the graphic, the tab is 6 & 5/8ths of an inch across the page, approximately a 1/2 inch high with 3/16ths of an inch separating each tab line (guitar string). Let me know if you would like a larger or smaller version of the guitar tab lines. Take a look at the image below for the actual dimensions and compare it to tab that you have. Also, let me know if you think any of the graphics are either too small, too large, or if you would like versions on different size paper (legal, A4, etc.) Currently, they are letter size with 7/8″ margins, but I’ll make changes and upload alternate versions if these are not exactly what you want. For an entire song you will most likely use several pages for your notations.You need various blank music sheets if you want to progress past the beginner stage in your guitar playing. When making notations for short exercises you may wish to use the line at the bottom for another exercise or use another page. The Chord Charts and TAB below runs the length on the exercise in this case with a note at the end of the first line stating to repeat from the beginning. This is just an example to illustrate how to use the system. The circles on the horizontal lines in the TAB shows the player which string to play and the number in the circle shows the player which fret to hold down. The vertical line on the left is the nut. The 1st string – the high e string is the top horizontal line and the 6th string – the low E string is the bottom horizontal line. The TAB Orientation – The neck of the guitar and headstock are pointing to the left with the strings running horizontal (left to right). The top horizontal line is the nut and the horizontal lines below are the frets. The 1st string – the high e string is on the right and the 6th string – the low E string is on the left. Chord Chart Orientation – The neck of the guitar and headstock are pointing up with the strings running vertical (up and down). ![]()
